“What is the Employee Retention Tax Credit?” You are not alone with that thought. Sixty percent of businesses in a recent Paychex survey said they weren't familiar with this valuable source of funding.

Don’t leave critical funds on the table — potentially, tens of thousands of dollars — that could be infused into helping your business continue its financial recovery from the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The hardest-hit businesses such as accommodation and food services, arts and entertainment venues, retail, manufacturing, and others could be eligible if:

  • Operations were partially or fully suspended under government orders due to COVID-19
  • The business experienced a decline in percentage of gross receipts from 2020 or 2021 as compared to 2019 (or 2020, if the business was not in existence in 2019)

Paychex offers an ERTC Service to help businesses determine if they are eligible and to help claim the credit retroactively for previous quarters in which qualified wages were paid to employees. On average, a Paychex non-PEO payroll customer has received $87,000 in ERTC. Paychex is one of the only providers offering such a service, plus we can even work with non-PEO businesses that weren’t our customers in 2020 and 2021 if they switch to our payroll services.

All this information will be discussed in our webinar at 1 p.m. Nov. 9, 2021, in which experts in risk and product development will explain how the service works and the benefits businesses can gain, including working with a specially trained ERTC expert to review eligible wages, getting all calculations completed along with documentation, and the preparation and filing of amended returns.

This event is not eligible for CPE or IRS CE credit.
